Creating with Glass

Creating my pieces are time consuming, whether a piece is fused in the kiln several times or burnished and soldered together to form a stained glass piece.   I start with drawing the design for my pieces, then cut and grind the glass to form a desired shape, and if I'm fusing, a piece could be fired several times, maybe adding more glass to each firing to achieve the desired  final  appearance.  If I'm creating a stained glass piece, each piece of glass must be individually foiled, burnished, and then soldered together.  I genuinely enjoy designing and creating my stained glass & fused glass artwork.  It's so exciting to explore many different techniques for my creations .  There is always something new to learn and to create!!

Previously, I had my own practice for 10 years as a Shiatsu Practitioner and Reiki Master.  I retired from my practice early to pursue my love for glass.    As a glass artisan, I bring my affection for the art of  glass into my work, combining my love of energy and glass, creating distinctive judaica & metaphysical stained glass & fused glass pieces.  Some of my labor represents energy work, Reiki, and the Chakras.   In following some of the practices of Judaism,  I also love designing unique Judaica pieces such as mezuzahs, menorahs, and Hamsas, along with various Hanukkah decor.

Thanks for viewing my website, I really appreciate it. My studio  is located in my home and I'm affiliated with The Hammonton Art Center in Hammonton, NJ .  Glass is my life and I love every aspect of working with glass, whether it's fusing glass in a kiln or soldering stained glass.  Keeping environmentally conscious, I only use lead-free solder and materials on all my pieces.  I hope you get as much enjoyment from my stained glass & fused glass creations as I do  while I'm designing them.
